I find it more playful than using Scaler in a DAW. Also, it has a lot of improvements, and bug fixes that (IMHO) improves both the user experience, and compatibility with modern Windows. It has Winamp 5.666 (or at least parts of it, as far as I understand) running under the hood, and better yet, it’s in active development. Very different from DAWing! With a bunch of MIDI plugins like Tonality and Suggester, playing with chords and scales is really enjoyable. Well, IMHO, nowadays WACUP ( r/WACUP) is the best version of Winamp. This, combined with early file-sharing networks like Napster, changed the way people discovered and listened to music.
